Block Island

A fun charter venturing outside of the Hamptons, either as a day charter or part of a multi-day, term, charter is a cruise over to Block Island, Rhode Island. Cruise time from Sag Harbor can be about 2 hours to over 3 hours depending on the particular yacht and the weather and sea conditions. There is an additional fuel surcharge for this charter.

Anchoring at Block Island is usually on the west side of the Island on a mooring in Great Salt Pond or at one of the marinas like Champlin's. Mainland ferry’s from Rhode Island and Massachusetts arrive at Block Island in New Shoreham on the east side of the Island.

Great Salt Pond

Thousands of years ago, a glacier left rolling hills and ponds behind, forming what is now known as Block Island. Block Island features 17 miles of pristine beaches, protected by lighthouses and spectacular bluffs, and surrounded by rolling roads and winding paths.

If the charter to Block Island is part of a multi-day, term charter, our clients can either opt to stay aboard the yacht overnight or can stay at one of Block Island hotels including the National Hotel and Spring House Hotel.
